Windows Azure Pack for Enterprises

Find me on:

During the last 12 months, we have been enabling the cloud for the majority of our customers and partners.
When we say “cloud” here at Lumagate, that isn’t synonym with the public cloud only. We are enabling the cloud for our customers regardless of the location.

You see, that cloud isn’t a location – but a method of computing that we believe everyone can take advantage of. This means we have several options here, such as Microsoft Azure (public cloud), private cloud and service provider clouds.
This is all a part of Microsoft’s Cloud OS vision, and it makes it also easier to enable any hybrid scenario that fit the solution you desire.

Windows Azure Pack is a new solution that was shipped together with Windows Server 2012 R2 and System Center 2012 R2, which brings consistency to both the private clouds and the service provider clouds. You will have the same user experience as well as many service offerings that you are familiar with from Microsoft Azure, running, operating and executing within your datacenter.

The Windows Azure Pack (WAP) is a collection of Azure technologies that enable your private cloud and provide the same user experience as found in Azure itself.  WAP is available to Microsoft customers at no cost and can be installed and configured in your datacenter.

Cloud OS

WAP integrates with System Center and Windows Server to provide a self-service portal for managing cloud services such as websites, virtual machines, SQL Server, virtualized networks and service buses
If we look at the graphic above we can see how the user experience I Microsoft Azure is carried over into the private cloud.  In both the public and private clouds, users are able to manage their resources in a self-service fashion. Further, as both Azure and the private cloud are based on Hyper-V, we have complete workload portability between the environments.

We would like to use this opportunity to invite you to a free webinar on the 11th of December 2014.

Windows Azure Pack for Enterprises

Our focus here is to show you how you can enable the cloud within your own datacenter, and consume Azure similar services while be in charge of everything, such as data, runtime, security and more.
The session should be applicable for both BDM and IT-pro’s.
